What is a handsome man? Off the cuff, one who isn't ugly. But isn't that individual? Doesn't everyone find something beautiful or ugly in another person that the next person asked sees the opposite way? Well, there are very good-looking men that women run after and very ugly ones. I'm not being asked what makes someone ugly here, but what is beautiful. Popular pretty boys are well-built, well-trained blond guys with blue eyes, a full head of hair, taller than the woman, slim and looking almost like Popeye.

Handsome Man - What Does He Have to Be Like?

I wonder what's still real about them. It's alarming that a handsome man doesn't need any intellect in the eyes of most women. I find that exactly what's attractive, because a dumb man would get on my nerves in the long run, however handsome he is. Black and brown hair are handsome, some go for green and for class clowns. So the handsome man is a curious fellow. One without a head or with brains. A lively party clown or a nice couch potato with his shirt buttoned up to the top, as long as that doesn't carry over in a symbolic sense.

Characteristics: Butt, athleticism, hairstyle, beard, whether the shirt fits, scent, deep, sexy voice, clear skin, cologne, well-kept hands, perfect shoes. So say the magazines.

Handsome Man - Pure Masculinity

To me, it's masculine when you fit in with other men and aren't a lonely rose grower. At most on the side. Because I knew one once. He wanted to invite me for coffee and in the end I was supposed to pay myself. Unbelievable. He wasn't ugly, looks-wise. But his behavior wasn't pretty. So for me a handsome man is one who is interested, looks good, isn't too out of touch and above all has something going on upstairs. With brains. Precht once said that the fact that his mother was a feminist didn't lead him to fall in love with dumb women.

He defined stupidity for himself, too, and even that is a question in itself that we're not getting into here. Because we all want to stay beautiful. Women and men alike. Searching for the more beautiful, handsome, pretty better half of the self in life for the road ahead. Always. And we don't even ask men what they find beautiful about themselves. They design their beards however they like. On a whim. And still always find a woman. They've made it really easy for themselves and don't have to ask themselves any beauty questions.
