Men are like wine: with age they become more mature, more interesting and more attractive. That's the theory, anyway. In practice, cell decline starts for men in their 30s, too. High time to do something about it.

Handsome Men - Men and Aging

Handsome men radiate confidence and love women, too. Women go for strong, good-looking guys who have achieved something in life. But what about the midlife crisis after 40? Many men that age ask themselves: is this all there is? What have I achieved so far and, above all, what does the future hold? For self-validation, handsome men often take a much younger woman on their arm to polish up their ego.

Handsome Men - Prevention

But what can be done so handsome men stay handsome? Everyone has to get through the midlife crisis and nobody gets around cell decline. That's why it becomes more and more important in middle age to exercise, cut down on alcohol and generally adopt a healthier lifestyle. Cigarettes should be a foreign word. From 40 on, it's no longer primarily about winning beauty contests but more about damage control.

A positive lifestyle, or a positive outlook on life, certainly can't prevent classic age-related illnesses such as diabetes, cancer or Alzheimer's, but it greatly lowers your chances of getting sick. It doesn't have to be a detox cure right away. A healthy life and a positive attitude start in the head. Light exercise once or twice a week and giving up meat would already be a worthwhile start.

Beauty tips

Handsome men are modern and these days visit beauty salons, too. And that doesn't only mean the classics like pedicures or cosmetic studios. No, nowadays there are even barbers who cut only men's hair. Here, handsome men are among themselves. Cigars may be smoked, whiskey drunk and cheesy jokes swapped. Of course, there's also some gossiping about women, which is probably one reason they're not allowed in.

But the cosmetics industry has discovered the market for men's products, too, and besides aftershave and shaving foam it now offers special creams for men's skin. What's the difference? Nobody knows for sure, but women like it, so "man" goes along.
